Welcome to our Great (ish) Virtual Bake off, week 2, which was all about bread. Thanks Maddie for our brilliant poster design.

Harder perhaps than last weeks’ cake, as yeast, flour a little harder to come by by the team rose to the challenge admirably and we had some flat (some deliberate) and soda bread entries.

Notable entries this week, Pete’s rainbow bread – here he is in action preparing the layers. 

We suspect it was another joint entry again, well done family Mitchell. Thanks to our judges, they delivered their verdict via a novel method, overshadowing even the first placed entry. Well done Elsie and Ezra, very cool use of your trampoline.

Well done to this weeks’ winner The Robinson family. Beautiful shaped rolls with some plaiting too – good work Phil and gang. Lots of loafing around this week, good buns, breads and baps.

Next week is biscuit week…
